THE AESTHETIC
Throughout collections, VAILLANT has developed a distinctive aesthetic and identity: resilient, adventurous yet approachable, with a touch of futurism. Alice always aims to incarnate l’ère du temps while incorporating french culture resonating back to her origin and upbringing.
The core of VAILLANT’s creative vision has been, since its debut, to rethink femininity by reinventing it. This process has featured classic influences adjusted and altered by a universe that is very contemporary and even futuristic.
Today, VAILLANT offers a transformative wardrobe always striving to embody a strong, sensual, and disruptive vision of femininity, which is assertive and self-assured. Empowering women is at the heart of VAILLANT’s mission. Drawing inspiration from her 10 years stint at the Paris Opera Ballet during which Alice got fascinated by costumes; she decided to blend her love for traditional attire and performance-oriented sportswear materials creating one of a kind garments.
THE DESIGNER
Born in Paris, Alice Vaillant is a womenswear designer. At a young age, Alice joined the Paris Opera Ballet School for over 10 years and was also in a sports study program for 7 years.
After moving on from dance, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design in Montreal. In 2018 she obtained her Masters of Arts in womenswear in Paris.
Before establishing VAILLANT in 2020, she joined Jean-Paul Gaultier’s Couture Studio as well as Nina Ricci’s studio under the artistic direction of Rushemy Botter. She created two capsule collections for SSENSE in 2022.
The brand's unique touch has granted Alice to be a two-time Pierre Bergé Andam Fashion Award finalist in 2023 and 2024.
VAILLANT's signature garments make a bold statement that has already charmed many celebrities from Rihanna and Kylie Jenner to Dua Lipa, Aya Nakamura and Blackpink's Lisa.
In June 2024, Ashley Graham walked the VOGUE WORLD RUNWAY dressed in a custom VAILLANT dress.
