Our commitments
OUR COMMITMENTS
A female-led house
Vaillant Studio was founded and is run by women. Every decision, from design to production to the way we communicate, is made with that perspective at the centre. We believe the best fashion for women is made by people who understand what it means to wear it.
Responsible materials
We are actively reducing our reliance on virgin and conventional materials. Part of our collection uses deadstock fabrics sourced through Nona Source, giving existing textiles a second life rather than contributing to new production. We also work with Ecopel, a leader in faux fur innovation, for pieces that require that texture and warmth without the use of animal fur. Not every piece in our collection meets these criteria yet. We are a growing brand and we make decisions iteratively, learning as we go. We would rather be honest about where we are in that process than claim a level of commitment we have not yet reached. What we can say is that each collection moves further in the right direction, and that sustainability is not a box we are trying to tick but a standard we are genuinely trying to raise, for ourselves and for the industry.
Craftsmanship
We design pieces to be worn, kept, and passed on. Construction quality is non-negotiable for us, not as a marketing position but because we believe disposable fashion is a problem we do not want to contribute to. Each piece is made with care.
A workplace we are proud of
We think the fashion industry has a culture problem. We are trying to build something different: a studio where high standards and a good working environment are not in contradiction. Demanding the best from each other does not require making people miserable. We are proof that it does not.
Where we are headed
We are not perfect and we are not pretending to be. This page will grow as our commitments do. If you have questions about how a specific piece was made or where it came from, ask us at commercial@vaillantstudio.com. We will always give you a straight answer.
