SIZE GUIDE

How we size

Vaillant pieces are currently sized in French sizing (34 to 42). We are transitioning to international sizing (XS to XL) in upcoming collections. Both references will be indicated on all new pieces during the transition period.

French to international conversion

34 = XS

36 = S

38 = M

40 = L

42 = XL

How to take your measurements

For the most accurate fit, take your measurements over underwear only, with a soft tape measure held close to the body but not pulled tight.

Bust: measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the ground.

Waist: measure around your natural waist, the narrowest point of your torso.

Hips: measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, approximately 20 cm below your natural waist.

A note on skirts and trousers

All Vaillant skirts and trousers are designed to sit low on the hips. When selecting your size for bottoms, refer to your hip measurement rather than your waist.

A 36 is cut to wear low by design. If you prefer a higher, more fitted rise, size down. Both work, it is a matter of how you want to wear the piece.

A note on fit

Vaillant pieces do not follow a single silhouette. Some styles are cut close to the body, others are relaxed or oversized by design. Each product page indicates the intended fit and how the model is sized, so you can make the most informed decision before ordering.

If you are between two sizes on tops and dresses, we generally recommend sizing up for comfort, or sizing down for a more fitted effect. Specific advice is given on each product page where relevant.
