The basics

Vaillant pieces are made from delicate fabrics that require careful handling. Taking a few simple precautions will significantly extend the life of your garment.

Dry cleaning

Dry cleaning is the safest option for all Vaillant pieces, and the one we recommend as a first resort. If possible, choose an ecologically responsible dry cleaner.

Hand washing

If the care label permits, certain garments can be hand-washed in cold water with a gentle detergent. Always lay the garment flat to air dry after washing. Never wring or twist the fabric.

Machine washing

Machine washing is strongly discouraged. The tumbling process damages fibres and stitching over time, even on the most durable fabrics. If you choose to machine wash, use the most delicate cycle available, cold water only, and avoid any harsh detergents or bleach.

Drying

Never machine dry a Vaillant garment. Heat causes fabric to contract and the garment to shrink permanently. Always lay flat to air dry, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Storage

Store garments in a cool, dry place. Hang structured pieces to preserve their shape. Fold knitwear and delicate fabrics flat to avoid stretching. Use a garment bag for pieces you wear infrequently.

Fabric-specific guidance

Silk and crêpe de chine: dry clean only, or hand wash in cold water with a silk-specific detergent. Never wring. Lay flat to dry.

Viscose and cupro: hand wash in cold water or dry clean. Viscose loses its structure when wet, handle with care.

Knitwear: hand wash cold, reshape by hand while damp, lay flat to dry. Never hang knits.

Lace and embellished pieces: dry clean only. Do not attempt to hand wash pieces with embellishments, beading, or delicate lace appliqué.

Leather and faux leather: wipe clean with a soft damp cloth. Do not submerge in water. Store with a dust bag.

A note on sustainability

Caring for your garment properly is the most sustainable choice you can make. A well-maintained piece lasts years longer, reducing the need to replace it. We design our pieces to be worn and kept, not discarded after a season.

We accept returns on full-price items within 14 calendar days of your confirmed delivery date. To be eligible for a return, items must be:

• unworn,
• unwashed, and
• in perfect original condition,
• with all tags attached and original packaging intact.

Refunds are processed within 10 business days after the returned item(s) have been received and inspected.

Exchanges are subject to stock availability.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:

• Sale and discounted items
• Waiting list items
• Swimwear
• Underwear and lingerie
• Items showing signs of wear, washing, alteration, damage, or otherwise not meeting these conditions may not be accepted for return or refund.

Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the client and will be deducted from the refund based on the carrier's rate for your region.

Any applicable customs duties and taxes incurred during the return process are also the responsibility of the client.
